I have plans to change my (old shimano BR-M415) mechanical disk to AVID BB7 disk brake that come with a 160 mm, 6-bolt rotor.

Is it possible to combine a centerlock rotor / hub, with the AVID BB7 calipers?

need your advice.

Thanks.

  1. The calipers are no problem, but if you want to use the new 6-bolt rotors on your centerlock hubs, you'll need to get an adapter.  They work well and aren't too expensive.  http://www.cambriabike.com/shopexd.asp?i...

If you don't like that idea, then you can probably use your old rotors if they're in decent shape...or buy new Shimano centerlock rotors.  But the BB7's will mount up just like any other brake, no worries.
