  1. I hope you plan to take all of the stain off, you are fixing to get into a job that may take a lot of time. You will also want to sand your cabinets after you strip them.

Put the stuff on the cabinets and let it sit for a few min before you try to take the stain off. With most types of stripper you will see it working. if not apply more and then try.

  2. Jasco is by far the best.  It comes in a gold can, and has a "Jeanie" on it.  Put the first coat on THICK.  Let dry.  Then apply the second coat and scrape off old finish with scrapers, while still wet.  It's acid based, so wear gloves and be carefull.  After this, wash the cabinets with laquer thinner(and plenty of ventilation), by using throw-away cotton rags(white terry).  Now your ready to sand.  Oh yeah, if you re-stain, pick a darker color than you have now.  Good luck!

  3. I hope you'll wait a bit and order SoyGel, which is nontoxic and has gotten great reviews:

  4. plastic gloves and a six pack of twisted Ice teas will help the time go by as yuo wait for it to set. Make sure you give it time to set as it will not work all that well if you rush it - have fun I did this last  year to my bedroom set and it cam out nice drink a Twisted Ice Tea for me....LOL

  5. You don't need all that stuff if you have any coordination at all....just don't shoot the stuff in your face...lol....I would get a pair of gloves though...the stuff does burn when it gets on your skin.....use your best judgement with the safety stuff...go to the staining isle and pick the stripper you want....take home, spray on cabinets, let set (should tell you how long on the bottle), i used a putty knife to scrape off.  have a couple rags on stand by....you might want to pick up some high grit sand paper as well....100 or 120 grit.....
