My dish network remote doens't have the DVR button. how do i record and then watch my recorded shows?

  2. You probably don't have a DVR.  Most Dish DVRs have a silver remote and the DVR controls are right in the middle.  If your remote is black you have a standard receiver without a DVR.

    and most likely you don't have DVR or you got the wrong remote.

    contact your provider.
