Question:

Using Frontline Plus on a lactating mother cat?

My cat recently had kittens, they are about 6 or 7 weeks old now. We have had a bit of a problem with fleas on the mother cat (she goes outside a lot). Upon buying the Frontline Plus package, it tells us that it's safe to use on lactating cats. The problem is, though, the kittens love to groom their mother as much as she does them. If it's safe on lactating cats, I'm asking, would it be safe for the kittens to ingest it by l*****g her fur? The whole purpose of putting it on the back of the cat's neck is to have them not reach it to l**k it off.

  1. I wouldn't use it with other cats around. My cats both died after we used Frontline cause they would clean each other.

  2. Hmmm...that's a very good point! Just call your vet and ask!

  3. Since the kittens will be l*****g mom, then its not safe.
