The file size is very large because the quality(resolution) is very high.

to reduce file size..

1. reduce resolution of ur picture

2. resizer ur picture to a smaller image size.

when it comes to the saving screen with the different file options,  click the drop down menu at the top there should be some smaller file sizes there
