Just hooked up my laptop to a 27" LCD using a VGA cable. I am able to display the computer screen on the T.V but it is the same 15" screen displayed on the laptop. How do I get it to full screen on the T.V. .....Thanks

  1. You need to set the computer to use the EXACT resolution of the TV. That will give you full screen, but TVs (well, current TVs anyway) are nowhere near the quality of an actual computer monitor.

  2. You need to change the resolution of your extended monitor. Right click and in display properties.

    AND

VGA is not a digital cable. SO you do not get 720p. In fact you dont call it that. you  just say 1280x720

You can not get 720p through a VGA CABLE.

  3. The TV is probably 720p means the resolution would be 1280x720, which is similar to your monitor, which is probably about 1024x768 or 1280x1024
