  1. He can plug it into the amp, as you could plug in a keyboard or a microphone btu as it is a Bass amp it is designed to enhance the bass of whatever is plugged into it.

I don't know alot about bass amps but I have heard them up close and I assume that they have some kind of low-pass filter which filters out the high end of the musical spectrum and thus enhance the bass.

You can give it ago but it will not sound anywhere near as clean and crisp as a normal guitar amp. And as he is likely to be playing chords through it you will probably get a big fuzzy mashed up sound.

  2. Yes, no technical problems. Nothing will be damaged.

However...  most guitar amps have a poor bass response, intentionally. This is because otherwise the guitar will sound bass-heavy due to its thicker bass strings producing more output in the pickups than its thinner treble strings.

Bass amps have a good bass response, because that's what they're supposed to do. So if you play a guitar through them, they'll sound somewhat muddy. The answer is to use the tone controls to cut the bass and boost the treble.

  3. it's ok to plug an electric guitar into a bass guitar amp.

IT IS NOT OK to plug a bass guitar into a electric guitar amp.

i play my acoustic guitar thru my bass amp. sounds better actually then if i plugged it thru an electric guitar amp.

if you play a bass thru a guitar amp, you'll blow the speaker. i did.   :)

  4. yes you can i started playing my electric on a bass before i bought my amp

it will work Perfectly fine neither guitar or amp will be damaged
