ill be traveling to DR soon, and heard I could get a Orange SIM card , for my t-mobile phone, and buy a phone card to make my phone calls a little cheaper. Does anyone know how much they run, how much would it be to use it for at least a week? Is there an Orange dealer at the airport? If not where can i get one?

  1. You will find different Orange dealers around the hotel/resorts.

You can buy a chip (300 rds) and buy (60/100/200/300 rds)call time. For the moment 1us = 33 rds

  2. When we were there we were told the only cell phone that will work is verizon wireless. I ended up charging all my calls to my home phone in the united states. It was a little over 300.00 for a weeks worth of calls. I know this doesn't help you much,I just wanted to let you know what we were told. Another option would be to use the internet to send messages. I think it was about $8.00 for and hour of internet service and you didn't have to use it all at once. Good Luck.
