Using a Tivo with Comcast Digital Cable?

We are currently using tivo downstairs and have digital cable upstairs. we are wanting to also put digital cable downstairs and be able to use our tivo with it. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so what is anything would we need wire wise? We have our cable through comcast. We are not using HD for anything. Thanks!!

Which Tivo version do you have?

If you are using a Series 2 version 2 or Series 3 / HD you can get CableCARDs that turns the Tivo into its own cable box. If you have an older Series 1 or Series 2 version 1 then you need a cable box to get a video source from.

There should be no issue connecting the Tivo to a cable box to view shows. If it is a newer Tivo getting the CableCARDs is better since it will give your Tivo dual tuner abilities.
