Using a Venice Card in Venice?

I am off to Venice in a couple of weeks time has any body been there and used a Venice Card and if so which one and was it worth it.

i went to vencie and stayed for the weekend and unless your gonna be travelling to all the different islands alot of the time its probably best just to get a 24 48 or 36 hour pass from the ticket office before you get on a boat although this will not cover to and from the airport as they are seperate tickets all together but if your going for a long period of time and travelling a lot inbetween all the islands then go for the venice card

We purchased one of the cards I can't remember which...All I do remember is that it wasn't worth it at all....Try Rick Steves book on Italy..He has some good info on the cards...
