Using a game cube controller on wii?

i put in my game cube in my wii and i put in a game cube game and memory card but nothing happens. how can i use the gc controller

You have to use the wii-mote and click on the game screen in the upper left hand corner. Once the game starts, you will be able to use the Gamecube controller

You can only use a gamecube controller in Super Smash Brothers Brawl or a gamecube game played on the wii. you have to use the wiimote in the homescreen and go to the game play section, and then the wiimote will turn off and you can use the gamecube controller

u have to find a port that will take the gamecube controller and then u can use ur GC controller on the wii. (Check in the back of the wii)

first thing you NEED the wii remote, even if you want to play a gamecube game. once you put the gamecube (gc) game in, the wii system will automatically turn on. once it turns on, you have to press A on the WII REMOTE to access the wii menu; the main screen on the wii. then with the wii remote you point and click the wii disck channel (the little box on the top left corner). after you click the box the gc symbol should appear and the potions "start" and "wii menu" should come up in the bottom. once you click start, you dont need the wii remote anymore and youre ready to go! :D

  oh and some wii games (like super smash bros. brawl) you can also use the gc controller.

Once you insert the gamecube game, on the wii menu select the disc channel and the gamecube load screen should come on and click start. Then the gamecube game starts and now you can use the gamecube contoller.

You cant use a gamecube contoller to select the disc channel in the wii menu, you have to use a wii remote.

You have to use your wii remote to click on the disk channel and then after the game cube disk logo appears then you click start. You cant use your game cube controller on the wii menu

The Gamecube controller will only work once you load up a game; either a Gamecube game or a Wii game that allows the use of the Gamecube controller (such as Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros Brawl).

You still need to use the Wiimote to navigate that main menu and to select the disc channel, which will boot up the game in the drive.
