Using a hammer you accidentally hit a finger or thumb. Which digit hurts the worst to hit ?

I have listed this under Do-It-Yourself but don't go and try this at home, but if you have had past experience with it, I would like to hear which digit hurt the worst.

I have done this several times over the years. Hitting either one hurts equally bad.

Try it yourself? If they are hit with the same pressure I would say the thumb cause you use it more, and its bigger.

Hitting your thumb is agony, especially with a brand new waffle head hammer.  It not only smashed, it shredded my thumb.  I was in almost constant pain until the nail fell off.  I don't recommend you try it.....

It depends on how hard you hit it.

Either way it would hurt! Best solution....have somebody else hold the nail while you drive it in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
