Using a picute ID for flying?

my sister lost her drivers license and shes visiting in a couple of days she applied to get a new one how long will it take to get it (california drivers license) is there another picute id she can use? how long did it take for anyone from cali whose had to replace theirs?

Passports take 3 weeks to 2 months.  Not a realistic option.  Normally if you lose a drivers license you can get it replaced real time by going to the DMV.  I don't know if that's true in CA.

Any govt issue ID will do.  If she is under 18, a student ID will work.  If she does not have ID, she will need to fill out paperwork at the TSA station and undergo secondary screening (she will also have issues checking a bag), so she needs to allow plenty of extra time at the airport.
