Using a power capacitor?

If I am running a system with a large five channel, or a multichannel amp, and a mono amp do I need a capacitor??

  1. A cap actually helps provide power to your sub amp when it's playng long low frequencies . You probably shouldn't need it unless you have over 1000 watts . Rule of thumb: 1 farad to every 1000 watts. It will help buffer the power to the rest of the car keeping your headlights and dash lights from dimming.


  2. you can search few days in history. there are some threads with this problematics. Capacitor is usually unusable for some rasons like too "weak" help, amplyfier quality which causes tjat you can have infinite strong 12V and it still will not help you enough...
