Question:

Using blotting paper after the expiration date?

I was looking to buy some oil blotting paper (the absorbing paper for the face) and I found someone who sold them for really cheap. If you buy/use them, you know they are always so pricey. Because they were so cheap, I went overboard and bought a lot, not realizing the expiration date on them. They expire in about 3 years, and in order for me to use them all before that date, I'd have to use 4 a day... everyday... that seems a bit excessive (and obsessive). Do they lose effectiveness after the exp date? I'd probably still try and use them anyways since it's not as bad as drinking milk past the exp date (yes, I know milk lasts for at least 1 week past the date, but I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to the stuff I consume), but I wanted to know how they react after that date.

  1. no, it will be fine, it's just an unwaxed rice or tissue paper that absorbs the oil from your skin.  I've never even seen an expiration date on them before! how weird, anyway, no it will be fine there is nothing in them to "ruin" or that will lose efficacy.

  2. It is still find to use.  Expiration dates on some product are mainly for the store to consider when selling products to customers.

  3. Oh, it REALLY DOESN'T matter! It's just rice paper, and that doesn't expire! Seriously, that stuff lasts forever. The only way they've gone bad for me is when I  put it in my swim bag and my oily conditioner spilled all over them! I was mad.

And don't buy the $5 Clean and Clear ones! Those are really overpriced and only work okay. Good for you for finding basic sheets.

  4. I think they would be fine. You could also consider selling some/giving some away to your friends and family.
