what are the benefits of putting coca butter on your face? what dose it do?

My daughter, as a teen-ager, had an ugly scar on her chin, the result either of a dog bite, or the dog scratching her with its claw. She rubbed cocoa butter on the scar for several months. She's older now, but the scar can barely be seen, and only by someone who knows where to look.
