which meathod of determining volume is more accurate usuing the formulas or using water displacement meathod?

depends, but usually measurement of dimensions is more accurately

Usually you can dimensions lengths quite accurately.

water displacement has errors due to the meniscus from surface tension.

mensuration formulas are exact. provided your measuring tools are good enough and you express circular stuff as a multiple of PI, as in 1.3*PI. if you are going to use say 3.14 for PI, you lose exactness for all those digits you dropped.
