Explain in general terms how hypothesis testing may be used to evaluate possible solutions to business research problems.

Explain how the "null" hypothesis describes the condition of "no change" and why that results in the = condition always being in the null hypothesis, not the alternate.

  1. The null hypothesis as I understand it represents the possibility of the event being analyzed or modelled not occurring.  Then, the effect of that eventuality on the system would be the outcome of the null hypothesis.  For example, the event could be a sale, or the acquisition of as contract.  You could model what the repercussions of that event would by on the company.
