  1. because marine life eats the bags and then it gets stuck in their intestines because they cannot digest it. Many sea birds have died from it Sea Turtles also, in the middle of the oceans are great rafts of plastic hundreds of miles large. The islands of the pacific have to constantly clean their beaches from plastic debris that washes ashore

  2. It doesn't save the planet, a lot of people say that because it's non biodigradable it's bad for the environment, it's more of a nuisance. What using less plastic bags does is it saves oil. When the oil reserves go dry, it won't be the gas but the plastic that will be sorely missed. It's insanity to burn such a valuable ressource.

  3. plastic bags enviroment pollution. not saves planet soil pollution

  4. As plastic bags these days are not biodigradable (meaning when placed in a land fill it takes a very long time for them to dissapear) they are causing harm for the environment as they can cause danger to the undergrowth and as they take long to biodigrade they fill the land fill

  5. use a biodegradable bags. or just bring your own bag

  6. Also, don't forget they also tend to be annoying trash that blow in the wind and end up in waterways and along highways. The fact that they are not biodegradable means they won't break down in the environment or in landfills.

  7. Less plastic is used.

  8. because plastic isn't biodegradable, meaning plastic is forever

  9. For just one to not use plastic bags when shopping

    .. . ..

Is kind of like one baseball fan watching the game you might as well say no one showed up

    .. . ..

But if you have a couple of thousands of fans watching the game then you got a near full ball park watching the kids play the Saturday game.

    .. . ...

The same is with using plastic bags and not

    .. .. ..

We use the COSTCO  - they are the biggest we have brought - Sam's, Whole Foods organic (use to be Wild Oats), and  Meijers,  Green planet bags also and we by just about all that we see from every store that has them to offer them to have someone else see someone else does it too

    .. . ..

And when we go into a Kroger's grocery store and put two of the bags in the cart

    .. . ..

People around us look at our shopping cart with the bulk shopping bags

    .. . ..

The next few time we have gone we now have seen few using their Green planet bags

    .. .. ..

So you see it usually takes just one person to do something first before anyone else will

    .. .. ..

Try it you might like it especially when you do a big grocery store shopping and now you only have one to three bags to carry in the house

    .. . ..

Get my idea it pays off in two ways save you 5 trips to the trunk of the car and helps get the ball rolling in keeping the place we live a little better

    .. . ..
