Using mayonnaise on hair?

How does mayonnaise work on your hair?How long do you have to keep it on your hair?I have black thick straight hair and its dry probably because I've spent my summer almost swimming ever day on a pool with chlorine treatment and now I don't know what to do!I bought Hellmann's real mayonnaise and I haven't tried it yet but I might.........please help I don't know what else to do and I don't really have the money to go to professionals or beauty salons.If anyone else has suggestions I would very much appreciate it and thanks in advance please don't be mean if you think its weird cause I only heard from people and was wondering if it does work.

just put some mayonnaise on your hair, but wear a shirt that you don't like because the smell will stay with it, and then put a plastic bag over it and leave it in for a half hour to an hour and then wash it out, good luck!

It should work, but I would think you would want a nicer smelling product more formulated for hair.  When I wanted deep conditioning, I used a product my hairdresser friend got for me at a Beauty store (not dept store) called Prescription Rx in a medium-small gray jar. Nice almondy scent and quite heavy. Not expensive.

put aboutquarter of a bottle of conditioner on it and wrap it in a towel and leave it overnight this should make it softer u need 2 get ur ends trimmed or they  will split all up 2 the roots then u will have 2 have the lot cut off like i did once and if u spend a lot of time swimming u should either buy a swim shampoo or better still wear a swimming hat
