My best friend Aly likes this guy named Ben.

Ben's best friend Kyle, likes me.

I like Ben.

I don't know who Ben likes.

It's this whole messed up square and I don't know what to do because Ben and I are becoming really close friends... what do I do?

Be the smart one and stay out of it. If Ben likes you and you won't date him because your friend likes him then he'll like you even more and it will drive him crazy that he can't have you for a really good reason. If he doesn't like your friend wait until she moves on to a new crush then go for Ben.

Tell Aly you are going to ask Ben out. If she's a real friend she'll be ok with it. Then go ask Ben out. If he says yes, heaven; if he says no then you can turn your attention elsewhere.

Its better to stick with Kyle... that way ben doesnt get in the way of your friendship with aly. Also Ben sounds unsure of himself. You need a guy who knows what he wants= Kyle.

girl it sounds like your in a hard predicament. if it is going to mess up you and your friends relationship i wouldn't do it because no man is worth losing you friendship over i promise i can say that i have made that stupid decision before but i want do it again i promise that. Just talk to your friend and tell her how you fill about ben and if she is ok the do the d**n thing if not then i would just leave him alone and if she does it then that is a different story because i wouldn't be here friend anymore you didn't date him because of her and she shouldn't either.

Let things go naturally. If something happens between you and the guy then your friends should be able to respect that and be happy for you two no matter who they like. if things don't happen for you two, being friends is a great thing also.

BE CAREFUL! If you go out with Ben and Aly already likes him you may lose a best friend. Not to mention you will hurt Kyle. Think your feelings through before deciding what to do.

find someone else to crush on, if you get togather with Ben or even get too close to him it will split you all apart- or ignore your feelings for him (much harder)

All throughout your life you will have "crushes". What you are describing exactly what 12 to 13 year old girls feel.

Always, always, always be true to your girl friends over liking a boy! Boys at that age, are more sexually minded than love minded. They change girls a lot, but a girl friend is in your corner for along time.

Any way you seem to be moving a little too fast. If he likes you, he will ask you out. Boys like to make the first move. If he does, you need to be honest with your friend and find out how she would feel if you were to date Ben.
