Using nutmeg for recreational use?

I've read a few sites and such discussing using nutmeg as a drug. Can you please tell me how much to use for a first time, what i should expect, how long for it to start working (i heard 5 hours plus), also why isnt it illegal?

You will just smell a bit spicy LMAO really it's got no stimuli in it.You may have a smoke of it ground up in some tobacco try that spice up Your smoke.And may smell good like a christmas day.

it isnt really illegal because ppl dont really want to smoke nutmeg so because it isnt widely abused as such a drug as heroin or speed and full of dangerous chemicals would be my best bet. if you want to know anything about nutmeg or any other drugs take a look at http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/psyc... it will tell you most of what you need to know..... however if you do try smoking it let me know how it went... i would like to know of a first hand experience rather than just reading on the internet. Do not do it.  If you have to use a drug, then do pot as at least it won't hurt you.  Nutmeg is very very dangerous and the high is not even good AND you have to deal with a total migraine headache after you come up (if you survive).  You can't know how much to take because you never know how potent it is.  As little as 2 teaspoons has been enough to induce seizures in some people.  I did it as a teenager when I heard about it.. and it was not good and I was lucky to get away with my life.

Nutmeg contains MYRISTICAN and it affects the central nervous system if you dose up on LARGE amounts of nutmeg. Sounds like fun NOT

Nutmeg,(Myristica fragrans) is mainly used as a spice.  The seed has two parts . The outer red portion is used to make the spice mace, the inner seed  is nutmeg. Nutmeg does have medicinal uses, in small doses it can be used to treat diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. The flavor and fragrance comes from oil of myristica, which ontains myristin, poisinous narotic which can cause hallucinations and death if taken in large doses. Can not be induced even with large culinary usage.
