after reading a book for English class i have to write a paper and i'm using quotes from the book. how do i correctly put the quote in my paper?

  2. Find a quote that you want to use.

    In your essay, put the quote in quotation marks and then at the end of the quote, and don't put in a period/question mark/ ect. Then put the page number in parenthesize( ) and THEN ad the punctuation.

    then explain why you used your quote.
