Using the hard and disk drive from an xbox in your computer?

Can I put them in my computer safely the look like normal components i guess i should clear the hard drive first. Is there anything else i should know before doing this?

Hey there A.L,

There shouldn't really be any reason for you to use your Xbox hard drive in your computer because then you won't have a working Xbox :)

If you need a new hard drive for your computer, but you don't want to spend big bucks for a new one, check out used computer parts on craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org/).

But, if you want to transfer files from your Xbox to your computer, you can follow the tutorials here - http://www.chefelf.com/xbox/index.php - and use one of the ways to link up your computer to your Xbox.
