  1. Tell us where you want to go to and from and I will look it up on www.metromadrid.es and let you know what it says.

  2. Make sure you keep your witts about you  when your on the metro- pick pockets are everywhere.  One old bloke pretended to fall over when the train pulle dout of the station - he fell against me and 2 eastern europeans came to his aid and in the process managed to nick my wallet. Apart from that its a great city.

  3. If you want to ask in Spanish '' Can you buy a daily ticket for the Metro in Madrid ?. Its (...Puedos compar un boleto diario para el metro En madrid ? ) Ask for the answer in English .'' Can I have the answer in English please.''. ( Podria tener respuesta en ingles por favor.. ) Try the Spanish Q&A and see how you get on..Good luck

  4. yes, if you want you can buy only day ticket (for one trip, ten trips...), also you can buy ticket for several days (for example, for a week, or one month, or for all year...). There are a lot of possibilities!!

  5. Hello, Im spanish, and i live in Madrid, well my english is a bit bad... but ill try to explain; In Madrid you can buy two kind of tickets, the simple one... its valid for a trip, for example to go from Plaza de España to Sol. Or you can buy a ten trip ticket, then you can use it ten times.

If you want to travel far away, you need a bit expensive ticket... Madrid is divided in zones.... A, A1, B, B1 etc...... the centre of Madrid is A, and i suposed if you go sightseen, only need the simple ticket.

Anyway, u come from England... so u must know the ticket in the airport cost 2 euro (if u are in the T4 of the airport only!!!)... and the tickets in the rest of the city cost only 1 euro...

But dont worry about the metro is safe but always late.

I hope it helps, in spite of my poor english. Sorry!

    Ana
