Using the program NERO, can I burn one of my videos (AVI) to a CD-R and play it at home on a dvd player?

Or if it can play vcd format.  I've had problems with "good" players accepting these types of cd's (eg Sony, Panasonic, etc), but never had a problem with cheaper DVD players, such as Apex.

Yes, Nero can help you do that, Nero is the best DVD burning software, it works pretty well for me.

If Nero doesn't work for you, I'd recommend cucusoft dvd burner to you, it's also a nice dvd burning software that can help you burn CD, VCD and DVD. If you need detailed info, here is a guide about it
