Using vegetable oil instead of gasoline

ive heard about people using vegetable oil to replace gasoline, would i be able to do that to a ford f650?

You need to convert your gasoline engine to the diesel engine and other parts that is connected to the diesel. Diesel engine cannot start if the vegetable oil is cold so you need to make a device that heated up the oil to a certain degree then it'll run.

that would never work..the only engine that could accept that over-haul would be a diesel engine, even then, it is a very risky move.

But DO NOT put it in your tank if you have a gasoline engine!

Yes it is possible. That's called Biodiesel. You can make biodiesel at home and try it out!

1  People do NOT use vegetable oil in place of gasoline.  They might convert used cooking oils in to BIO-Diesel, but not gas.  You try this with a gas fired engine and you are going to have one heck of a time cleaning everything out.  I mean from the tank to the cylinders.  It is all going to be gummed up.

millions of cars on the road, all the vegetable oil will be gone soon. it's overpopulation. there's too many people in the world right now, that's the real problem.

First of all you can't replace gasoline with vegetable oil. However you can replace diesel fuel with vegetable oil to burn in a diesel engine. In order to use vegetable oil, you'll need to filter it and heat it up to 160° to burn. Most applications use two fuel tanks. One for diesel (to warm up the engine), and one for vegetable oil. The heat from the diesel can also be used to warm up the vegetable oil, then you can switch tanks. About 5 min's before turning off the engine you'll need to switch back to diesel to clean out the fuel line, or you won't be able to start your cold engine with oil.

If  it is diesel then yes, it can be converted to vegetable oil.
