Using videos taken by camcorder?

i want to put my videos on the internet i have a sony handycam dcr dvd108 and i can download them to my computer but i don't know how to use them. any help?

if you want to put them on a site like youtube they should be put through movie maker and saved to the video file in a format that will work. (DVD, avi, mpg,wmv, etc. ) then you just go to the site and create an account to upload to.
