The 26-year-old cricketer is taking the tour of England as a great opportunity to prove his critics wrong and expressed that no player can survive in competitive cricket without working hard.
Khawaja said, "I think that a lot of people who say that don't really know me well enough. I don't think you can get to state level or even playing for Australia for that fact without working your a**e off. I
think it's impossible. I've done a lot of hard work to get where I am. It is disappointing sometimes to hear that.”
While commenting on the incident during the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, Khawaja expressed that he was very disappointed initially but everything is done and dusted now and he is looking forward to cement his place in the
national side.
"I've learnt from that. I was very disappointed, I was a bit frustrated, a bit angry, but it's all part of life, all part of cricket and I'm just grateful to be on this Ashes tour," the stylish batsman added.
The left-hander has so far represented http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in six Tests and three One Day Internationals. With just one half-century under his belt, Khawaja is yet to prove his worth at the highest stage of the game. However,
there is no doubt about his talent as he already has scored more than eight thousand first-class runs with the help of 11 centuries.
