Usman Khawaja ready for his debut
Ricky Ponting may or may not be available for the fourth Test match at the Melbourne cricket ground subject to his fitness. The Australian captain hurt his finger in an attempt to take a catch. He fractured his little finger on the left hand and there is
a cloud of doubt hanging over his availability.

Khawaja says that he is ready to play for the Australian team if he is considered for the Boxing Day Test match. He said, “I've said this before, I think I was ready when I was six years old. I think everyone's ready to play for Australia.” Khawaja also
made his maiden domestic one day century against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844. His century helped his team to a three run victory.
The 24 year old left hander is confident that if he is selected for Australia, he will live up to the hopes of the selectors. He is excited to make his debut for the team and has been with the team for a while. He was also with the team when Australia toured

Khawaja, though, said that he wasn't anxious to be part of the team as he was satisfied with the team’s win over England in the Perth test. He stated, “You can't look that far ahead; the (Australian) boys had a great win over in Perth so I'm just happy with
these NSW boys right now.”
The Australian team regained the confidence after the Perth victory and will be hoping that Ponting remains fit for the match. Although he hasn’t performed with the bat but Australia would like to carry on with their winning combination.
