  1. One thing you will understand much more thoroughly when you finish boot camp (I'm assuming that is what you are talking about), is that you must always --always-- be flexible. The only person who will have flexibility in this situation is your girlfriend, and with finals that may not even be an option. Is it possible for you to hold something afterward to celebrate? Just an idea -- may be a small family and friend get-together, etc.

Just trust me when I say that things in the Corps won't always make sense, and be "user friendly" -- but there is usually a reason. You will learn that as rewarding as this career choice is,  you will need to be able to "roll with the punches". It's a whole different ballgame that can't be fully explained until experienced. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but I wish you the best of luck.

  2. my boyfriend said graduation is usually on fridays to allow family to travel without missing work.

  3. Generally your first week of training you will be given the graduation date. You can plan from there. Two things... 1st you will graduate when they tell you to no matter what day of the week it is and if she can be there that is a plus... 2nd if you have a girlfriend that is doing well in school and is concerned about her grades then be happy and don't ask her to miss her finals. She may be able to take them earlier and she may not.

13 weeks of training may not actually start until you are out of the reception station and at your actual training unit which can take up to a week. You have to get in processed and get your basic issue and they have to have a full unit to start a cycle.
