  1. Acceptance, as a scan event, means that the package was handed over to the USPS by the sender.

What you have is a Delivery Confirmation number. DC is NOT tracking. It is only designed to confirm the delivery of an item. There will sometimes interim, or Enroute, scans, but these are neither required nor should it be expected.

The only service that USPS offers that has real tracking is Express Mail. In actuality, the application as usps.com should be Track OR Confirm. It depends on the service that was purchased.

First Class Mail Parcels are eligible to use the DC service. DC may also be used on Package Services Mail as well as for Priority Mail. The information will update when it has been delivered to you.

  2. Where did you get the tracking number from? Usually, if you want tracking number, then you must shipped it by pripority mail. The price difference between 1st class and priopity are very small.

The acceptance is delivered, but if you didn't insurance, then it will be left outside when nobody is home. The best way is to contact the person to see if they receive it.
