Usps wrong mailing date on shipping label?

Question

i created an online shipping label for usps

but instead of putting the mailing date for monday 7/28

i put sunday 7/27 instead

can i still give my package to the post office on monday?

or do i need to void my label and make a completely new one?

According to the Domestic Mail Manual 604-4.4.1 Date and Postage Corrections you can correct the date on a mailpiece.  Have the postal clerk print a zero postage label with the correct date and apply it next to the original date.
