Utah Jazz forward C.J. Miles rearing to go in the next season: NBA Update
Despite the lockout in the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Utah Jazz forward C.J. Miles is making plans for the next season. Miles is trying hard to be in shape and hoping he will be perfectly
geared up for the training camps.
“I try to keep to where I don’t get bored with it, I’ve been doing everything. I feel like I could start camp and it would be one of my best camps that I’ve had since I’ve been in the league, and I still
have a month before we regularly start. I feel good," Said Miles in an interview.
Miles is seeing this ongoing lockout with huge optimism and trying his best to prepare for the next season. However, the league has no guarantee to start in November as still no progress has been made to
resolve the labour dispute among the NBA owners and the Players Association.
C.J. Miles has a relatively good experience in the league. He has been playing in the NBA for over five years with great energy. His recent commitment to stay in shape for the upcoming season is applauded
by many basketball experts. The work stoppage in the league is forcing many players to play overseas, but Miles is still focusing and showing his great optimism for the next season.
Miles has been playing for the Utah Jazz since he was drafted in 2005. The Jazz selected him 34th
overall in the second round of 2005 NBA draft. Born in Dallas, Texas, Miles was exceptional from his early playing days. His defensive and offensive game impressed many basketball scouts in the league.
Miles, who played his early game at the Skyline High School, groomed himself with great coolness. He was outstanding in his junior and senior years and earned enormous acknowledgement. Many NBA scouts were also impressed with his
game and gave their feedback to their respective teams which eventually benefited C.J. Miles. The Utah Jazz was the first team which showed enormous confidence upon him and drafted him in the second round.
After coming into the NBA and especially in the Jazz’ roster, he was declared as the youngest player ever entered in the Utah Jazz. Miles, at the age of 18, certainly needed more experience to excel in the league when the Jazz
management decided to send him to the NBA Development League (D-League). T
his exercise proved fruitful for the Jazz and also for Miles as he came back with more energy and force. His playing time increased in every season while he developed himself as a very lethal player for every opponent in the league.
His consistence performance has also benefited the Utah Jazz for many occasions. Last season, he played total 78 games and averaged 12.8 points, 3.30 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for the Jazz.
