  1. Gifford Pinchot, at the beginning of the 20th century, developed an ethics of resource conservation, which is based on a utilitarian philosophy encapsulated in his slogan "the greatest good for the greatest number for the longest time".

    So take your pick.  It's really all of them, but if you had to pick one I'd say E  (greatest good for the greatest number).
