i have ca firewall and whenever i run utorrent, my cpu usage goes to a 100 percent and my computer becomes extremely slow. so slow that it takes 5 minutes for firefox to open up. how can i add utorrent as an exception to ca so that it does not mark it as a trojan and considers it to be safe?

  1. It might just be a spyware build up, run a spy ware removal tool

SpyWare: steals info such as passwords and other personal info

  2. CA Personal Firewall Blocks Applications

    1. Open CA Personal Firewall window

    2. Go to Firewall tab on the left

    3. Click on Application Control across the top

    4. Remove any unwanted applications from here (to make CA Personal Firewall ask you for access once more)

    5. Close the Firewall window to save settings

    6. If you get alerts from the firewall for new applications, click on "Remember this setting" and Allow.

Also, if you see that an application is blocked by the firewall and you know the file name (from the application vendor), and if firewall has not given you alerts about this application; then after step 3, please use the Add button to add your application and give 5 green check marks to the same... this will fix your specific application issues.

    hope this helps

  3. you will need to configure you modem/router firewall not your internet security.

    go to

    www.portforward.com

and browse for you router type.

some ISP's like telstra (i use this one) are crappy and only allow you a certain amount of usage. if am using uttorrent browsing the internet is very very slow becuase there is too much traffic entering and leaving. you will have yo jsut do one or the other
