  1. The difference is usually size, weight and horsepower.  If you have a push mower a smaller, lighter single cylinder engine would be better.  The more powerful twin would be overkill.  A riding mower will benefit most from the extra horsepower of the twin and the weight and bulk isn't a problem.


  2. Big engine, big power, don't be afraid to punch it.

    If you can get a Harley V-Twin to work, you will have something.

    If you lawn is less than 10,000 feet, stick with a 5 or 6 hp self propelled mower.
