Hi FRCS68,
I wrote earlier about my HDD brand. I donot know whether you got that mail? It is Fujitsu MHV2060AT PL 60 gb . I downloaded a software for fujitsu hard disk diagnostics and tried it on my v2300, I tried the bios hdd test. It passed all both the quick and extended hd tests in both the software. I also noticed this time, a whole list of software which used to install automatically on windows xp home reinstall, like PCI device, Mass storage controllers, 1394 and especially the intel pro 2200 dont get installed. When I try to uninstall the improperly( with the yellow question mark next to it) installed intelpro wireless card I get a new warning that windows could not uninstall because it may be needed for boot up.
That kind of confirms my suspicion this card is preventing normal boot up leading to the f1 f2 error..
As I said in my post, the blue tooth device is enabled all the time but the wireless is not many times. Now I am trying to install the xp when (if) the wireless card is also enabled in bios. The problem is when I save settings and restart I donot know if the wireless card is enabled at that time.
Is there any way I can force the xp installation without rebooting when I am in bios display and I know that the wireless card has been enabled? or make the laptop go to directly boot from cd? (I have changed the boot order to cd rom anyway.
Thanks for any help you can give.
