Question:

V8 juice and a vegan diet?

so i'm vegan, and i eat veggies as much as possible, but i fear i'm not getting enough. I might be, i do eat like half a bushal <sp?> of asparagus with my dinner, or i throw in a big thing of brocoli. Anyway, i'm wondering how much V8 juice is should be drinking if that is about all the veggies i'm getting in a day. One head of brocoli or half a bushal of asparagus, i eat other veggies, that is just how many "servings i have".

Extra info:

I drink 1 can of V8 a day right now, but i'm thinking about stepping it up to 2 cans, i just want opinions on if 2 cans would be too much, maybe i need 3 a day?

  1. Make your own! Don't buy processed foods.

  2. I like V8 and I'm not a vegan. If you go from 1 can a day to 2, it isn't likely to do you any harm.

But no matter how much asparagus and broccoli you eat, you need other foods to get a complete diet.

  3. you can buy a juice machine and make your own :]

btw: you can have as many veggies as you want. there's no such thing as too much veggies :]

  4. Try buying a vegetable juicer and make your own. V8 is highly processed and it is high in sodium. It probably doesn't have much nutritional value. You should also consider getting a few books from the library on vegan nutrition. Juicing books are another good resource. It doesn't sound like you are eating very healthy.
