  1. 1. Tell them you have decided you do not want to eat meat anymore but make sure you have a reason because I am sure they will want to know why.

    2. If you become vegetarian you just can't eat meat (chicken, beef, lamb...etc) or fish but can still have animal related products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs etc....If you are vegan you cannot eat anything that comes from animals...not just their meat but milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt etc is not allowed. Also, if you are vegan you can't wear anything that comes from animals, such as leather or wool.

  2. 1. sit them down, have a talk about why you wanna be vegan or vegeatarian. Be honest, speak your truth. work out a food plan with them, a cruelty free one.

    2. you can eat anything you want to, even paper, you´re perfectly capable of putting it in your mouth and swalloing it, but if you wanna eat without the cruelty acted upon animals you can eat any fruit, vegetable, nut, grain, root, seed, and spices. check out compassionatecooks.com for support, help and answers.

  3. Hey!

    Good for you!

    1. When i told my mum and dad i went vegetarian, the thought good for you, and they wanted to help me as much as they could, and about 2 years into it, i decided to become a vegan, they wernt to sure about this, but showing them that i got all my protein, iron, B12 etc, and what i could cook (as i cook for myself now) they said it was ok. You can find recipes, about nutrtion and lots more here - http://www.vegansociety.com/html/home.ph...

2.Vegans enjoy all kinds of plant foods - like fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes (beans, lentils and split peas) - and fungi (mushrooms, yeasts), and food made from these. Vegans choose not to eat any foods derived from living or dead animals - no meat of any kind (no red meat, poultry, white meat, fish etc.), no animal milks (no cow's dairy products, nor sheep, goats etc.), no eggs, no honey, nor any other animal products (no gelatin, cochineal, shellac etc.)

Finding vegan food is easier than it's ever been. You can now buy vegan cheese, vegan chocolate, vegan ice-cream, vegan mayonnaise, vegan sausages, vegan yoghurt, vegan haggis...the choices are endless.

    A recipe i like =]

Heres a nice recipe i love as a vegan.

Banana and golden syrup soya smoothie

    What you need

    250ml soya milk

    1 large banana

    1 tablespoon of goldne syrup

    1 handful of oats

    What you do

Put all the ingredients in the blender and whizz up until nice and smooth (Chill it and drink cold).

Hope this helps and good luck with everything!

  4. Do you know anything about vegetarianism? Why are you wanting to convert to it? I'm asking this because you should go vegetarian because of your health, environment, and the animals, not because someone from MCR is vegetarian.

    1. Research. http://www.goveg.com/vegetarian101.asp This is a great website to learn all about being vegetarian. It will inform you and your parents about where you will get all your protein, vitamins, etc. Make sure you know how you are going to do this safely before you tell your parents.

    2. You can eat everything except red meat, chicken, fish, crustaceans, game meat, etc. (if you're vegetarian). Again, I would think about your reasons for becoming vegan, because if you don't do it right and healthily it's dangerous. If your vegan, you can't eat all of the above no-no's, along with dairy and eggs. You also can eat things that have these ingredients in them. http://www.veganwolf.com/animal_ingredie...

I know it seems like a lot, but it will become second nature in time.

  5. 1. just tell them that u want to become a vegetarian/vegan

    2. if ur a vegetarian, u just cant eat meat or things w/ meat in it (like beef broths, ect). if ur vegan, u cant eat meat or any animal products (all dairy). that would mean u would have to switch to soy milk and things like that.

    here's recipes:

  6. I.  I have decided not to eat meat.

    2.  You can eat anything which doesn't have animals or animal by products in it.   This does rule out ANYTHING with gelatin and rennet.

  7. tell your parents the way they being slaughtered are so brutal and show them these videos, so they too will be joining you..

Adolf Hitler fopund thereason less stains on his underwear after he turned a vegan..

You can have so many alternatives

    salty potato instead of egg

    china grass instead of gelatin

Soya Granules Kabab tastes exactly like chicken kabab

    how to cok:

    Ingredients:

1 cup soya granules, (soyabean nuggets),

    2 tsp red chilli powder,

    2 tbsp cornflour,

    1 tsp jeera powder,

    1 tsp black pepper powder,

    Salt to taste,

    2 tsp ginger-garlic paste,

    2 tsp lemon juice,

    Oil for frying.

    Method:

Cook the soya granules in little water for 5 minutes. Drain well and remove all the excess water. In a mixing bowl, put these granules, add all the ingredients to it except oil and mix well. Allow this mixture to marinate for sometime to let the spices mix well with the granules. Cover the bowl with a cling film and set aside either on room temperature or in the refrigerator for an hour. Later, heat oil in a pan, make small balls out of the mixture and shape them round, or oval or as per your choice. Fry these kabab till they turn golden and crisp. Serve with mint chutney.

  9. veggielink.com

    allveggielink.com

these sites are awesome you willl enjoy them

  10. oooohh......im a vegetarian!!!!

1.you dont have to tell your parents if you dont want, just dont eat the meat the put at the table, or make yourself something else to eat. they will find out after a coule of days. but if you do wanna tell them they just go straight to the point: "mom, dad, from now on im gonna be a vegetarian/vegan."

2.if you wanna be a vegetarian you cant eat meat, chicken,or sea food. you can still eat eggs and drink milk, though.

if you wanna be a vegan then you cant eat any animal products at all, including eggs, milk, cheese, etc.

    your welcome xD

  11. well, Ive been vegetarian all my life (13 years) and vegan for almost 2 weeks, so I'll try to help.

1, first, do research on the health issues of being vegan/vegetarian so if your parents are concerned about you not being healthy you can tell them you understand what you need to eat more of etc. that way, they will probably see that you want to be responsible about it and that yo are completly serious.

Iwould recomend going vegetarian before deciding if you want to be vegan. Becoming vegan was easy for me, but i was vegetarian for a long time before that.

Being vegetarian/vegan is better for your health, the animals and the planet, find out more about how you are helping the environement etc. so you parents will understand your resoning. I dont think you should tell them you want to be like Frankie, because they'll think you're doing this for the wrong reasons. (though thats mostly why I went vegan, to be like frank LOL)

Just tell them basically that you've been looking into becoming vegetarian and you think you would like to try it for a while and see how it goes, if they ask about health, tell them what you found out etc.

    thats what I did.

    2. What can you eat?

if you're pescetarian (I dont know how to spell that) you dont eat cows and pigs but you still eat fish and I dont know but I think you might eat chiken too.

If your vegetarian, you dont eat anything that at one point had a face, that means you dont eat anykind of meat at all, no fish, no chicken. Youd be suprised how much stuff has gelatin in it (which comes from ground up animal bones) so you might not want to eat any gummy candies, shortbread cookies or marshmallows, but that up to you. I wasnt very strict about that, I ate marshmallows all the time. ^.^

If you're vegan you cannot eat anything that comes from animals, that means meat (obviously) milk, eggs and honey. You can find vegan versions of a lot of foods online. If you go vegan, be prepared to do alot of cooking.

There are also different types of vegetarian, like lacto-vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian,

(I dont know much about this so I might be wrong but this is wahat I think it means)

lacto-vegetarian means you can have milk but not eggs and ovo-vegetarian means you can have eggs but no milk..

    I encourage you're desicion

    ^.^ Good luck

  12. 1. you say "mom, dad, i'm becoming a vegetarian"

    2. you will have to decide your own restrictions. vegans cant have any animal products including milk and eggs and gelatin, vegetarians can have milk and eggs if they like, its up to them on that.

    who is frank ireo?

  13. Just tell them you want to be vegetarian. I was one when I was younger, and my parents understood. What you can eat depends-Vegitarians just dont eat meat, but can still eat yogurt, drink milk & anything else. Vegans don't eat/drink ANY dairy products, so you wouldnt be able to eat yogurt or ice cream or anything. Eat lots of foods like beans that have a lot of protein. Good luck =]

  14. wel..tel ur parents exactly de same reason why u wanna quit non-veg or become a vegi. if u really wanna be a pure vegetarian den u need 2 stop eating under ground fruits n vegetables also..(lik peanuts, carrot, onion etc..)
