  1. It's not really possible to tell, given that you've only provided examples of individual meals.  Your individual meals all sound fairly healthful but I can't tell if you're getting enough of anything.  I don't see any fruit, for example.  And not much in the way of grains, let alone whole grains.

Google the vegetarian food pyramid.  It will tell you how many servings a day you need of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, etc.

A good book to pick up for more detailed coverage of vegetarian nutrition is "The New Becoming Vegetarian" by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina.  Both are registered dietitians and the book is very thorough.

  2. You need to eat meat to be healthy. I've know a few vegetarians and they all died at an early age.

  3. if ur vegetarian why do you eat meatballs and spaggeti

  4. What are you eating for breakfast? You really do need to eat a good balanced breakfast. You seem to be eating okay. You need to add more food and nutrients into your eating.

Like some fruits, more vegetables especially green and leafy, beans (black, pinto, baked, kidney, etc) and lentils, seeds (flax, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, hemp, etc), whole grains, add quinoa.

  5. you are doing perfect. dont worry

  6. Check out the vegetarian food pyramid.  Add more whole grains!

  7. You don't need to eat meat to be healthy. Your meals do sound a little unbalanced, but maybe because you're just listing examples. Your lunch doesn't have much protein, but maybe your dinner will. It's ok if you're overall eating balanced. The things that are going into your meals sound good.

  8. You seem to have protein covered with all those beans, but I don't see one single fruit in there.

If you're having problems fitting it into your diet, try eating them as a snack, or with breakfast...

Oh, are you eating breakfast? It really is important, and contrary to what most people believe, it actually helps people lose weight (if that's your goal).

  9. In comment to Bill D. that may be correct to his situation, but I was a vegetarian (not by choice) but for conditions and you can eat healthy and be o.k.  You should go to Barnes and Nobles to find vegetarian cook books so that you can get the proper nutrition.  There are many sites on-line as well to get the proper information if you can't afford to purchase books. Look around and see what best fits you as well as consult your physician to see if they can refer you to a dietitian.

  10. On the "Good Morning Show" that aired early this month; there are thirteen different variations of vegetarians - try finding a cookbook or other vegetarian source that list several options to increase the variety of foods, vitamins and minerals intake.

  11. Your diet is great! For me, the main problem is eating enough proteins, but you seem to eat enough, since you eat lots of beans and eggs. Try some milk/cheese too!

  12. u r doing a good job.  i only lasted one day.  at least now i don't eat red meats except maybe once every two weeks.

  13. You're eating just fine;however, you might want to buy vegetarian food like veggie burgers, veggie hot dog, veggie chicken (there are lots of flavors), and veggie turkey. I had the same struggle as you've went through since about three years ago. First thing is the most important thing to do is make sure you have enough protein. Without, your body won't survive for a long time. Just make sure you don't any greasy junk food like fries all the time. It's really unhealthy. That's all I can do for now. What you're eating is just fine, you're eating lots of vegetables and vegetarian food. Go online and find a lot of recipe for vegetarians only. You can be surprises what they can share for you. Especially vegetarian dessert. Well, I hope I explain whether you're eating healthy or not.
