VERIZON INTERNET USERS, Please help me with my phone bill!

Please help me! I am so confused with my phone bill. Normally, my internet and phone bill together is like 40 something bucks, but this month's bill was $75!!! I have no idea why!!! I read the bill over and over and I saw something about USBI and I have no idea what that is. They said extra $30 from "other providers". Do you think it's because somebody is using different service or something that is effecting my verizon bill? There is this guy that lives in my house as well, he rents. And he's been trying to get internet for his laptop....do you think he contributed to it!? Please help me, I am so worried! I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything to contribute to it!

Thanks in advance. =]

  1. Which Verizon?

Verizon Wireless and Verizon Home are "different" companies and that would mean 2 different reasons for charges...not really different companies but they're different departments so they might as well be different.

If it's Verizon Wireless, I'd suspect roaming charges (using their adapter on another network, say where Sprint is the only carrier available).  Verizon Wireless I'd recommend going into the local corperate store (not a authorized reseller or mall kiosk but the actual Verizon Wireless store)

If it's regular Verizon, the only thing I can think of is calling customer service and ask what's up.

Both Verizons have very poor arrangments of marking what's for what on their bills, we often have to have everyone in the family read it several times and try to figure out who used what and (usually) decide what charges are whose for what...hopefully that last statment makes more sense to you than it does when I read it...
