VERY VERY IMPORTANT! Please and thank you!?

Question

Okay so im going to get my permit tomorrow so that i can get my license-- the problem is that i cannot find my social security card-- ANYWHERE. I have a birth certificate, school i.d, report card, bank card, & i know what my S.S.N is but i don't know if that will work! So I guess what im asking is, will i still be able to get my permit without my Social card? Please let me know!!! I live in Texas, if it helps.

You don't need a SSN, My older sister just go her permit and she does not have a SSN. (California)

call the dmv and ask them.  better to call and ask than to get there, wait for hours and THEN find out you have to have it.

As long as you know the number when you get there it will be okay - they can look it up to verify what you tell them.
