Question:

VERY quick biology question?

I am doing a lab for Biology where I am testing the effect of wood ash on plant growth. In my lab write-up, what unit of measurement would be appropriate to measure the wood ash to use in the experiment?

I know mL and L is for liquids, but this is dry. Remember, it's a scientific unit of measurement.

Thanks!

  1. Grams (g) are the usual weight (mass) measure or kilograms (kg)  if you are doing larger quantities or milligrams for very small amouts (mg).

  2. You will use the balance to find the mass of the wood ash in grams.
