  1. HDMI is digital and will carry the audio with no degrade in picture quality, VGA is old and any resolution higher than 1280x1024, 720P or more the picture quality will worsen.

  2. HDMI or DVI hands down. HDMI offers huge resolution benefits compared to VGA. VGA is going out, I can't seen it staying around much longer.

HDMI also carries the sound signals too, so no need to run extra cables to an amp or TV.

  3. While some people think there is some dramatic difference, I have never noticed any visible difference between DVI or HDMI and properly adjusted VGA.  It is just that DVI or HDMI are more automatic for color and image size if changing video modes, although, some monitors or HDTV's automatically adjust to VGA image size.  My current LCD HDTV automatically adjusts, but for my older monitor I may have to manually go to the menu to auto sync VGA (while DVI is completely automatic).

Judging from DVE (digital video essentials) DVD, my laptop VGA at the 1366x768 native resolution of my 40" HDTV is marginally sharper than an up converting DVD player whose optimum mode (DVI to HDMI) is 768p (1024x768).  But that is only because the VGA is slightly higher resolution.

  4. HDMI definitely!

  5. HDMI will giv outstanding uality, but i dunno if xbox 360 have it.

    correct m if im wrong
