VGA to Component cables?

Question

I have a nice computer monitor but i want to have it just play a DVD we made about our company in the waiting room. The DVD player only has components and the monitor only had VGA. i found this cable which looks like it would work but the web site notes that it wont. does anyone kno if it might? thanks :)

If your DVD player has an HDMI port you can use a  VGA to HDMI converter.

Component carries YPbPr signal and VGA is usually RGB.

You need a converter in between, so yes, it will not work.
