I'm looking into purchasing a VGA to RCA Component cable so that I may be able to view my laptop via my HDTV. Would this cable be the solution?

  1. There are cables that connect 15-pin VGA to RGB component.  However, there are several reasons that may not work for you.  First, TV inputs are now Y, Cr, Cb (color difference) not RGB; second, computer resolutions and scan rates may not be supported by your TV.  Many modern TVs that can be used as computer monitors have VGA inputs--have you checked yours?
