I need a combie to transfer videos to DVD. If I buy one now, will it be any good once digital comes in in April?

  1. TA GEULE!

  2. I recommend buying a vcr/dvd combi with built in freeview so you will be prepared when switchover happens.

£250-£300 will get you a nice machine.

  3. Of course it will be ok. If you're using the machine for copying videos to dvd then the digital switchover won't affect it.

Make sure that the thing actually will record to dvd. Not all combi unts will do that.

The combi may not have a digital tuner built in so you might have to invest in an inexpensve Freeview box to act as a 'front end' if you want to record off-air. But these combi units are now so cheap and useful don't let that put you off.
