I quit vicodin cold turkey (I was taking 5 pills per day for a month and a half) and have been feeling so anxious and depressed. Can someone give me any advice as to how long these feelings will last and how to handle them? PLEASE any help would be nice. I sure need it.

  1. Listen this is next to impossible,  Call a doctor ,that is your best bet. There is a new drug out called suboxone and it should be called the miracle drug because it will get you off of them without the side effects of methadone. Good luck!

  2. I would call your doctor.  For one, they will be able to stop prescribing it to you and have other drugs that may be able to help you quit.  I took 2 Vicodin every 4 hours for two/three weeks. So 12 pills a day, but not as long as you.  Its tough and easy to enjoy the effects.  I quit taking it when the pain decreased and began taking advil, tylenol, etc, in its place unless the pain was extreme, 7 or higher on the scale, to the point of not being able to function.  It helped to cut back by giving myself limits and telling my fiance so he helped monitor by hanging on to my meds.
