VIRUS INFECTION PLEASE HELP?

hey i downloaded norton checkup and it says that i have a Spy Kill virus infection and i was wandering if it is just fake from the program to get me to buy the norton program or if its real. Does any one know what a good free anti spy-ware program?

when youve tried the rest,,,,hit the best,,,,download Yahoo toolbar with Antispy,,,run scan,checks for updates,,,run scan and it lists your pc's problems,,select them and delete them,,,,its a freebie as well

its proberly a virus, i suggest you get avira antvir free antivirus (94% dection rate), is one of the best free antivirus programs on the market

Download Windows defender form Microsoft site. install remove the SPy kill virus

it probably is real. norton isnt a scam. i suggest AVG or avast. they are the two top rated free anti-virus protection plans. At home we use avg but it slows down the computer a lot. i use avast on my laptop and i like it a lot.

Hi dude.,

   As you said though u have downloaded the Norton, u r saying that u are still saying that u have some pblm ...

jst do onething try to download stinger or combofix files finding them in google and try to run them in the system..

and if you are online jst disable the internet and then try to run these files and if there is really any virus infection these files deletes all those files and gives u the log file....

Is dat ok??

Well when you download anti virus programs alot of the time they willl pretend u have a virus to make u buy the software. Although Norton dont do that as far as i know. Avg is free and is good in my opinion.

AVG.... I believe you can get a free version still but, maybe not.  It not, it's a mere $20 for an awesome program which offers complete protection, and isn't a resource hog like norton.

go to google, and type in AVG free 8.0, it will pick up all the viruses and it comes with a whole range of features such as email scanner, firewall protection and it will pick up any virus. You can scan anything you like by highlighting and right clicking on it!

i use hitmanpro.com for That. It does a complete checkup of your system and takes all the c**p like spyware off. And the best thing is that its free.
